On May 1st, the registration for the 12th Würzburger Improtheaterfestival will start! The festival will take place from the 24th till the 27th of October 2013 and is going to offer seven workshops this year!

We will announce our festival-workshops here on the 1st of May and by that time you can also find the application form online.

 After the great amount of applications within the last years, we decided to change our registration process. This year you'll have two weeks till the 15th of May to fill out the registration form for the workshops. On the 15th we will hold a lottery and draw who gets a workshop spot! So, chances for everyone who has registered by that time!



We have great international guests coming with a very nice variety of workshops, we already received a number of very interesting show submissions... and yes, we can't wait to get this started!!!

We are happy to announce that we will bring the ITI-Conference on Theatresports™ and Improvisation to Europe! It will take place from the 17th till the 24th of October 2013 in Würzburg! There will be workshops, panels, discussions, shows and many other things. We are planning right now how the conference will look like, so if you have any wishes what should be covered in the program, please let us know!

When the Conference will end on the 24th of October, our 12th International Improvisation Festival will start right away. Dealing with the huge amount of registrations and some technical problems that have shown up during the last years, this year we will let a lottery decide about who will get a spot in one of our workshops at the festival. We are curious if this will take away a lot of stress and actually leave everyone more satisfied... The festival will take place from the 24th till the 27th of October 2013.

The ITI-Conference on Theatresports™ and Improvisation and the 12th International Improvisation Festival together will form "The International Würzburg Improvisation Summit 2013". We are hoping that this event of 10 days of improvisation will create a good opportunity for even more international guests to come. Ab sofort gibt es auch keine Karten mehr für die Auftakt-Show des Festivals am Dienstag, dem 23.10.2012 im Cairo! Damit ist der Theatersport™-Wettkampf um den Goldenen Kaktus komplett ausverkauft!
Auch für "Place the Person" am Freitag sind leider keine Karten mehr erhältlich. Jetzt geht es um die Wurst... Restkarten über www.improtheaterfestival.de.

The first festival-shows are sold out! Sorry folks, but there are no more tickets for the Festival-Gala "Maestro"(on Thursday), for the children-show "Ra-Bu-Ki", for the "4TRACK"-show, for "Shawn and Dennis learn German", for "Ein Leben in Schwarz-Weiß" (all on Friday night) and for "The Golden Cactus" (on Sunday night) left. But you can still buy tickets for all the other shows... at least now... so get the tickets for all the shows you want to see before it will be too late...

Unfortunately Taylor White won't be able to attent this year's festival. His workshop "The World is Your Playground" will be taught instead by the the wonderful Jacob Banigan from Canada, now living in Austria! We are super-excited about such a wonderful "replacement"!

Right now we are working on our festival-shows which we are planning to announce in very short time. Get in the mood with some memories from last year!  

Das Festival war in diesem Jahr im Minutentakt ausgebucht. Daher haben wir uns entschieden, im nächsten Jahr unser Anmeldesystem nicht mehr über den Faktor Zeit zu steuern, sondern wahrscheinlich ein komplettes Verlosungs-System einzuführen.

All festival workshops have been fully booked within minutes. That's why we decided to change our registration process for next year and not have time being the determinant factor anymore but probably set up a big lottery for all the workshop spots.

Für alle, die keinen Platz ergattern konnten: Wir würden uns natürlich freuen, wenn ihr trotzdem Lust habt, beim Festival vorbei zu schauen und können aktuell auch noch über einige Übernachtungsplätze in der Jugendherberge verfügen. Auch gibt es eine Warteliste!

For everyone who wasn't lucky enough to get one of the spots, of course we still would be very happy to welcome you at the festival and even still have access to a couple of additional accomodations at the youth hostel. Also there is a waiting list!
